KIDS Martial Arts Program

This is an innovative children’s martial arts program that was specifically designed to challenge and develop skills of those in early and middle childhood as well as the pre-teen. This program targets the characteristics of the young people and utilizes those characteristics to help them develop physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually. The best part about their development is that they are learning and developing through martial arts training and a comprehensive character education program. Your child will build dynamic martial arts capabilities while gaining courage and confidence, and they will learn to think smarter and harder with children their own age. This class combines a variety of traditional martial arts to keep kids challenged and wanting to learn more!

World-Class Self Defense, Fitness, and MMA Competition Training

MUAY THAI

​Muay-Thai is a skilled striking art that blends techniques such as kicks, knees, elbows, punches and clinch work. This historically rich martial art originally developed in Thailand over 2000 years ago and is arguably the most sought-after kickboxing style in the world. Classes at Ultimate Athletics will involve the use of shadowboxing, footwork skills, pad work, heavy bag training, drill sparring, and various other conditioning drills. Our Muay-Thai program has all the tools you need, whether it be for competition, fitness, or self- defense.
SUBMISSION GRAPPLING 

Submission Grappling at Ultimate Athletics Cortland combines the best wrestling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu  techniques, maneuvers, and counters available to help students who wish to improve their "ground game." Grappling skills are utilized to gain a physical advantage over an opponent, and involve seeking and maintaining dominant position, recognizing and implementing submissions, and understanding how proper technique can often overcome an opponent's superior strength. 
FIT-4-LIFE: ULTIMATE CONDITIONING 

Get ready to lose weight and tone up as well as boost your strength, coordination, and overall fitness level with this energetic and proven program! If you are looking for a unique and fun way to get and stay in shape, this dynamic group class is for you. Our martial arts conditioning program is designed to apply proper mixed martial art technique to endurance workouts for optimal calorie burn and muscle strengthening. Fit-4-Life is a full body workout that will gradually build students' endurance with each session.
FIT-4-LIFE: LADIES CARDIO KICK-BOXING (Ladies only) 

Similar to the Fit-4-Life Ultimate Conditioning program, Fit-4-Life Ladies Cardio Kickboxing is a full-body workout based on proven interval training. Ladies in the class learn basic striking skills and then use those skills in a workout that increases and decrease heart rate for maximum calorie burn. Students in the class switch between speed and strength movements and also benefit from proper stretching techniques. At the end of class, ladies participate in a cool-down designed to tone muscles and build endurance.
TEAM TRAINING 

For individuals looking to take their martial arts training to the next level, Ultimate Athletics Cortland is proud to feature an amateur and professional competition team. Team practices are held after class most weekdays, and allow individuals looking to compete to work live rounds with other members. Team Training is for any individual looking to be competitive in boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, grappling, or full mixed martial arts competitions. The Cortland team has both male and female members and welcomes individuals from other gyms who need training partners (some membership restrictions apply).
OPEN MAT

Utilize our facility and all it has to offer you to achieve your fitness goals. Open Mat does not count toward your weekly class plan if you are a member.
